There are a lot of similarities between the movie characters Terminator and Robocop. Both are cyborgs, both have advanced weapons and armor, and both are unstoppable killing machines. They are both badass.
The time-traveling assassin of James Cameron’s 1984 breakthrough and the chrome-domed crime-fighter of Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 smash hit have done battle before, in video games.
However, we never got to see Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 and Peter Weller’s Murphy go head-to-head on the big screen. Such a fight would be the stuff of many 80’s kid’s dreams. It is a pity that we never got to see it. But, if we had, which alloyed action hero would be victorious?
Think about these key differences between these two characters before making your choice.
Terminator Is Faster Than Robocop
For one, the Terminator is a lot more agile and faster than Robocop. The Terminator can also change his appearance to blend in with humans, depending on the model, whereas Robocop is pretty much stuck looking like a robot.
Robocop’s Firepower
Robocop does have an advantage in terms of firepower, as his arm cannon can blast through just about anything.
So who would win in a fight between these two movie characters? It’s hard to say, but we think the Terminator would have the edge thanks to his speed and agility.
Terminator Quotes
Also, the Terminator movies have some awesome Arnold movie quotes.
The T-800 Terminator was designed specifically to hunt and kill, but also to do so while appearing human.
With this being the case, it’s not surprising that the film doesn’t see him perform physical feats drastically beyond the scope of a human counterpart: most of us would prefer not to smash our fist through a windshield and hold on as the car speeds along the road, but some of the stronger ones among us could probably do so if there was no other option – not that we’re in any way suggesting readers should try!
Robocop, by contrast, has no such concerns about blending in with humanity.
Robocop’s Design
His design was specifically intended to strike fear into the hearts of criminals, Batman-style, and hand-in-hand with that he has physical capabilities that are completely beyond any normal person. Hence we see him bending guns with his hand and bursting straight through a solid brick wall to grab a perp like an angry Kool-Aid man.
So I will always choose that the Terminator is the best at everything, but Robocop can be a close 2nd place for rankings when compared to similar movies.
Let’s check out one more question.
Who Is Stronger RoboCop vs Terminator?
In a clash between RoboCop and the Terminator, it’s difficult to determine a definitive winner in terms of strength. Both characters possess formidable abilities and have demonstrated immense power in their respective universes. RoboCop, a cyborg law enforcement officer, showcases exceptional durability, advanced weaponry, and strategic combat skills.
On the other hand, the Terminator, an advanced cybernetic killing machine, is known for its relentless pursuit and relentless strength. Ultimately, the outcome of their battle would depend on various factors such as the specific versions of the characters, the circumstances, and the tactics employed. Nevertheless, their epic confrontations continue to captivate fans, and the question of who is stronger remains a subject of intense debate.
So, what DO YOU THINK? Which is the best and who would win in a fight?
